Radio 92.9, The MBTA and the Boston Herald need your help this holiday season. Help us fill a bus with toys and books for needy kids in our own backyard. This could be the hardest holiday season yet so by donating a toy – you’ll help local businesses and give a gift to a child who might not get one otherwise.
We will have a bus parked at the JFK T Stop every weekday now through Tuesday December 9th. We'll bring the bus, you bring the toys, and help us fill this bus!
Give and Get Back!
Everyone that donates a toy will be entered to win something back! We're giving one lucky giver 4 roundtrip airline tickets on Southwest Airlines from Manchester Boston Regional Airport! You can also score a custom White Hen Mug good for free coffee for the duration of the program (at all participating locations)!
The Beneficiaries

The agency has also been the incubator for more than 12 organizations that provide critical stabilization and empowerment services to the community.

Situated in Grove Hall, one of Boston's oldest neighborhoods of color, Freedom House has an extraordinarily rich history of addressing issues of educational achievement and social justice.
Jumpstart
Every child enters the world with potential. Yet without the involvement of a caring adult, there is no guarantee that he or she will reach that promise. Enter Jumpstart. For over a decade we’ve been bringing at-risk preschool children and caring adults together through one-to-one relationships that focus on building literacy in combination with social and emotional readiness. Working alongside their parents and a strong community, we’ve seen how consistent, committed and caring one-to-one relationships between children and adults help to realize success not just in school, but also in life.
